"We stayed at Namale for a whole week. From the moment we arrived untill we left, we were treated as royals. I have never met such nice employees as the staff at Namale Resort. Every single one of them. The resort itself and the surroundings are simply breathtaking. We stayed in Villa Duvata, which was the most luxurious accomodation I have ever stayed in. Truly everything was all inclusive, all food, wine, spirits, activities of our choice - no restrictions. The only thing we had to pay extra for was the tanks of oxygen for diving, which was fairly priced. The food was delicious and freshly cooked to order at every meal, no buffets at this small luxuy resort. We had our meals at the restaurant, at our villa, at the beach, by a waterfall - all included. As guests we had the most amazing activites to choose from every day, at no extra cost: Horse back riding, diving, snorkling, jet skiing, romantic picnic, bowling, golf simulator, walks, visiting a local church etc. I have travelled to 47 countries as a tourist and the best service I have ever received was with my wife at Namale." - Michael & Olga (Barcelona), Tripadvisor.com

"First of all, just let me say that since we returned from Namale I still pretend to hear the waves crashing outside at night. My husband and I debated for months on where we would go for our honeymoon and I must say this was a great selection. From day 1, arriving at the resort to a warm BULA from the staff, to dinner on the beach/horseback waterfalls to breakfast... and our final nights watching a Fijian dance (meke) from the local villagers and enjoying Kava at the main bure with the kava boys.
The staff was phenomenal, all of our expectations were exceeded and the food was an excite to our palate. Wherever we wanted to dine, we would go and if something was desired and not on the menu, accommodations were made to ensure we got what we wanted. Since I can only enter so many characters I will say, this is definitely worth the price and includes a lot of options with food, wines/liquor and most of all the excursions you would typically engage on vacation.

The Trip of a Lifetime at Namale Resort

"My 55th Birthday/Retirement outragous vacation turned out to be at Namale Resort.
We were met by the Namale Rep. (Kitty) at the Nadi Airport. He helped us with our flight to Suva Suva and we were on the island in no time. Only minutes from the airport with a very special Fijian welcome song by the Beautiful Namale Staff. We were escorted to breakfast and then we able to access our room right after breakfast. Namale is the picture of perfection. The grounds and Bures are paradise (beyond belief). Namale offers so much to do if you wish and if you want to do nothing this is also the spot. Namale has a new Scuba Boat that takes you to the best dive sites in the world. We cruised to the Namena Marine Reserve where we encountered a pod of 20 Pilot Whales. We met up with one of them at 80ft. He stayed with us for about 10 minutes. Our friends who are snorkelers had 4 playing near them. It was the best close encounter. The reef was total perfection with a magnificent lunch between dives. Later that week we were treated to a trip to Taveuni with more world class diving. We had our luncheon feast in the most beautiful cove. The scuba staff made our dive trip the best ever. All four of us agreed that we have never had so much fun with a dive staff and they did all of the work with our equipment. They were so professional when it came to our dive briefings. It was clear they knew the tides, currents and the best times for our dives. Thanks so much to Amosi, Sam, Paul, Abbie and Boat Captain Para. You made our trip soooo very special. The most amazing part of Namale is the staff. Every person who we met was kind, happy and sincere from the maintenance department to Tony and Sage Robbins. "Namale is absolutely magical. I was in awe of the natural beauty everywhere. Hiking to the waterfall, riding horses on the beach, playing virtual golf and bowling at the "Kava Bowl". Volleyball, badminton, tennis, indoor basketball, ping pong, pool, darts, air hockey. Snorkling and scuba diving was insane with all the beautiful marine life. The people were so warm and friendly, "Dream House" was stunning with a private pool and hot tub and I loved that there was a massive selection of movies to watch on big screen. A series of beautiful days at Namale Resort. The sun is shinning beautifully and the ocean is warm and radiant with virginesque waters. Recently, some guests went diving and saw a pod of migrating whales in our waters. There was about 17 of them. It was a pretty site for guests and they returned to Namale in awe of their experience. There also was a sighting of a pod of dolphins frolicking along in front of the Resort. An amazing sight!!

Updates to Namale's premier villa, Tatadra House

Namale Resort recently closed their Dream House(Vale Tatadra) down for 2 weeks to do some work on their premier villa. The Tatadra House is a two-master suite home nestled on volcanic rock formations. Here are some updates that were made:

Re-varnished the entire interior of the villa (walls, ceiling and floor)
Built a flying deck off of the existing deck. The deck is literally perched over the cliff with the ocean underneath.
Upgraded existing plunge pool to a hot Jacuzzi. This is now dual purpose with the inclusion of 4 new jets and air blowers. As such guests, have the option of a plunge pool or a hot Jacuzzi
Upgraded AC in main bedroom from 9000BTU to 26,000BTU. The refrigerant gas on the new unit is ozone friendly and assists Namale in doing their part for giving back to Mother Nature.

We had a wonderful trip to Fiji. Sorry for the delayed response as we have both been extremely busy with work since we returned.... good thing we got away when we did. The resort was absolutely great. The week we were at Namale was also the first week for the new general managers; however, you would not have known as the resort workers are just extremely good. The first night there was only one other couple and then two more arrived later. Therefore, we were very much pampered.

My single favorite experience was the opportunity to interact with the people living in the villages. They were very open about their lifestyle, their history and their customs. We took the opportunity to visit the village and see first hand how they live. It was an incredible learning experience that I was not counting on.

Namale Resort is Truly Heaven ... nothing short of spectacular

"As we rolled through the entrance gates the thoughts of the Pearly Gates surrounded us! We rolled up to the reception area, and just as I thought...I was truly in Heaven...there were Angels singing their welcome song, smiling and enveloping us with only the comfort I could imagine feeling in Heaven! From this point on, we truly did nothing for ourselves! Every one of our needs were being graciously attended to! As if we were attending a family gathering, everyone knew our names, and never went without a Huge Bula Bula every time we met. Staying there was the BEST overall vacation of our lives! We did our tour of the grounds, and just kept saying to each other "OH MY GOD" We couldn't believe how much more this place had exceeded our dreams! The tour through our room was again filled with more "OH MY GODS" Yes we were in Heaven!!! The rooms are so tastefully done, but the views are so beautiful and soothing, that before you knew it, the stress of the real world we carried with us were easily being erased! We visited the Spa....me for a mani-pedi and he for the sauna, cool dunk and waterfall massage...yes...a waterfall massage!!! The food was nothing short of Spectacular!!! No matter where you choose to eat, or whether you dine in the main dining room, you simply show up....they take care of everything else!!! The real world habits start to fade! You no longer are looking for clocks, TV's and Telephones to fill your time, and you are no longer concerned about what you'll wear, and doing up your hair and makeup! You suddenly realize you are on "FIJI TIME!!!" Every day there's something (or nothing if you choose) to do, plenty to eat, lots of friends, and all in a setting that is truly Heaven on Earth!!! We re-newed our Wedding Vows while we were there!!! Again with the Oh My Gods!!! We had one little meeting (less than 15 minutes) to discuss the date and time, and what our thoughts were for the ceremony! That was it! The day of the Ceremony, it was like we had hired a Wedding Planner, Florist, Pastor, Choir , Caterer and Bakery to get inside your head, and plan the perfect Ceremony for you!!! Our coodinator was Louisa...and in one little 15 min. meeting, she was able to pull all this together, and literally take our breath away!!! It was so OVER THE TOP!!! Way more than we had ever dreamed of, and even more than we had at our first wedding!!! Heaven is run by a special group of people!!! The Arch Angels are Ron & Margaret, the GM's that are in charge of every department, that all comes together to make this Heaven on Earth possible... Our Special Angels would be Louissa, Emossi, Paul, and Sam!!! They all did the spectacular things that made this THE trip of a lifetime!!! There are so many other Angels and Cherubs there that just make everyday Full & Fun!!! Heavenly Stay at Namale Resort, an all-inclusive adult's paradise

"First it must be said we are by no means world travelers and are very frugal. We picked this location because we wanted to go somewhere truly special for our 20th wedding anniversary having never been on a honeymoon. We could not have picked a better trip if we had researched for years. If you are looking for a sunny, warm, friendly romantic hideaway that lets you have an abundance of activity options then you need not look further. Namale is an all inclusive adult paradise!

Do you dive or want to learn to dive at no cost? them meet Sam and Emosi at the dive shop. Included in the price of our stay was a discovery dive course and one tank dive per person, during our season of stay. We had never dove before and sam was more than patient and helpful in our daily outing. Snorkeling more you cup of tea? That was scheduled every afternoon along with reef walks, where they explain the marine life, offered twice during our stay. And of course two community pools and the ocean for swimming were always at hand.

Like horses? horses are available for a ride at any time. a very nice option for a romantic ride to the waterfall for a picnic lunch.

Romance is abundant. Romantic dinner and hot tub soak by the sea, no problem. Prefer a romantic hanging bed lunch by the sea, got it. or the waterfall table as mentioned above. prefer dinner and a movie? Just ask. Room service is always an easy option. all these services are available at no extra charge. For our anniversary they baked us a cake, which we gladly shared with guests and staff, and had the kava boy band sing for us as they delivered it. the housekeeping staff ran us a bubble bath in our bure and had candles lit along with flower petals from our door to our bed and the tub. they understand romance and go that extra mile with out even being asked, but if you did ask it would be accommodated with a smile and special Namale touch.

Our bure (hut/room)- named Siga- was breathtaking .. it was spacious and bright. Do plan on closing the bathroom door and keep the fans running to keep the room cool as this is a warm and sunny paradise island. When it was time for sleep the bed was always pulled down by staff with chocolates on our pillow along with a memo of the next days activities to help you plan out your day. when we finally decided to rest the beds were not an hinderance. And do not expect to find a T.V. or phone in your room unless you have a more high end villa or house. It was a very refreshing and unexpected change to find how little we missed these distractions.

The food was outstanding. and although the breakfast menu did not vary, lunch and dinner always had new options. Each meal had a fish, and vegetarian offering, all with traditional twists. Want something specific? Just ask it will be made with no animosity or fuss. I even asked for a banana cream pie, and it appeared on the next days lunch menu. we are not alcohol drinkers but they are available all hours of the day.

All the staff are genuine and friendly. They make you feel like family and you are wanted here. Tourism is essential to this islands economy and it shows. Even in the village/town you are welcomed with a "bula". Some deals on crafts and goods can be found in the small towns and shops. Take advantage of the excursions that are set up for you while you are there, and you will not only experience luxury, but culture as well. Even try the island cultural non-alcoholic drink Kava if you dare. Our goal was relaxation from our busy life and going somewhere exotic, Namale surpassed our hopes."

Namale Resort & Spa .. an unforgettable experience

We spent eight nights at Namale to celebrate our 30th anniversary. This was the sixth time we had been to Fiji on vacation, and each time we thought nothing could top this. Well, Namale topped them all. The friendliness of the staff, the quality of the service and the superior management team of Ron and Margaret make this place an unforgettable experience. We were so impressed by the service we received from the dining room manager, the scuba dive staff and just everone. It was truly amazing how everyone from management to the housekeeping staff knew us by name.

Our accomodation was an upgraded suite that was spectacular. Had its own pool table, fridge (well stocked.) and full size pull down movie screen, with a selection of hundreds of films you could watch from your bed. They'd even deliver popcorn if you asked for it,really. It had an Indoor jacuzzi tub and outdoor decks with plunge pool and jacuzzi spa.

One of the highlights of our stay was the Moonlight Magic spa experience. Though the resort is basically all-inclusive this, like the other Spa services were extra. A bit pricey, but it was truly a memorable way to share an anniversary. Starts out with Champagne (not Sparkling wine, but real French Champagne) and hors' d'oeuvres in the Spa starting at twilight after the Spa is closed to the other guests. A foot massage followed by a couples massage. The floors throughout the spa are strewn with flowers, and numerous candles are used to illuminate the Spa with its herbal soaking tubs. You have ample time in private to use the tubs and sauna. Talk about romantic! 'Not tonight I have a headache' is very unlikely after this Moonlight Magic.

Once again our travel agent Sue Michailidis with McCoy Travel deserves kudos for making everything go perfectly. Namale is definitely an upscale property, but for the quality of the service and the accomodations it represents a good value, and is a vacation you will never forget.. I am sure this is where God would stay if He could afford it. :-)
